LLBoyd Equestrian offers horse riding lessons for all skill levels in Tyler, Texas, from beginners through experienced riders wishing to improve their equitation skills. Correct equitation is emphasized from the first lesson forward. We believe it is much easier for a student to learn correct equitation from the beginning of his or her riding experience than to have to correct the equitation later. However, it is never too late to learn and improve your riding skills and connection with your horse through correct equitation and horsemanship skills. We specialize in the English riding disciplines - hunter, jumper, and dressage.
Horse riding lessons are $50 per lesson and are 1 hour. We are conveniently located in Tyler, Texas near Lindale.
Most Saturdays we offer a group lesson for intermediate through advanced riders which generally lasts several hours, depending on the number of students on any given Saturday. The cost is $50 per student.
Beginners will spend a portion of their lesson time learning the proper way to groom and tack up a horse and how to cool out and put their horse away after their lesson. They will also learn how to properly care for their tack.
Students may take lessons on their own horse or a lesson horse will be provided in accordance with the student’s ability level.
Summer Horsemanship Camps for various ages will be available.
Thirty-minute horse riding lessons can also be scheduled for children ages 3 years – 5 years for $25. A parent or legal guardian must be prepared to participate in the horse riding lesson for young children of this age. Starting horse riding lessons at an early age is a great way to aclimate a child to animals and build their self-esteem.
Polo shirts or collared riding shirts are preferred for our English horse riding lesson classes and all riding students are required to wear boots with a 1/2” heel and an ASTM certified helmet. LLBoyd Equestrian will provide a helmet for new students to use while in our class. Any type of boot with a ½’ heel will work until it is decided that the student will be taking lessons on a regular basis. At that time you will want to purchase your own English riding boots and helmet. We will be glad to assist in recommendations when purchasing English riding gear.
Horse riding lessons can be scheduled Monday through Saturday and we are located in Tyler, TX.
