"My daughter rode with Lona for four years during which she was both privately trained and rode for Lona’s IEA team. Lona is an excellent trainer, seen in her expert knowledge of the industry and of horses, her patience, and genuine care of both rider and horse. Her expert training of multiple disciplines, including hunter jumper and dressage, provides a well rounded experience and learning opportunity for her riders. While we boarded our horse at her stable, we knew he was in great hands and would be thoroughly looked after. Overall, Lona served my daughter as a great trainer and friend. She generates a Christian atmosphere and her kind heart creates a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment to grow as an equestrian."

"Ive been riding with Lona on and off for several years. She is an incredible instructor and is always giving feedback to better her students. There are many places in town that offer lessons and I followed her from two barns because I didn’t want to lose her as an instructor. The barn she is at now is a great facility. The arena has a sprinkler system so it is always watered and dragged which makes for very good footing while riding. She has several horses for students to ride if they do not have a horse of their own. Lona is a great instructor for students of all levels. She focuses on fundamentals so you always have a good foundation to build on while advancing in your riding all while offering reasonable prices for lessons. "

"Lona Boyd is the best trainer in the East Texas area. She has a passion for the sport along with a strong attention for detail that will help make anybody competitive in the ring. She cares for her horses like nobody I have ever seen, and trust Lona the fullest with all of my horses needs. If you are looking for a trainer to help better your horsemanship skills or take you to the tricolors at a horse show, then Lona Boyd it the trainer for you! "

"My daughter had been riding horses for about 4 years when we heard about the IEA organization. The King’s Equestrian was looking for a flat rider and we decided to look into it. It was the best decision ever. We joined an amazing team and she has meet wonderful friends with the same interest as her. The coach, Lona Boyd, is a great teacher and helped Kristina advance quickly. She gets the privilege to ride and compete all kinds of different horses without having to own her own. Ms. Boyd teaches safety and discipline that will help your child for a lifetime. She truly cares about the girls and their success. She has always worked with our schedule and has made this experience wonderful!! If your child is a horse lover this is a great place!!!"
